Bond No. 9 Bleecker Street Eau de Parfum Unisex 3.3oz

Bleecker Street, created by perfumer David Apel in 2005, opens with an unusual combination of violet leaf, blueberry, cassis and thyme — fruity and green at once — before moving into a spiced heart of cedar, jasmine and cinnamon. The base is where it gets its real depth: oakmoss, suede, patchouli, amber, vanilla and caramel combine for a rich, leathery, slightly sweet finish that's distinctive even within Bond No. 9's catalogue.

It wears with real character — the fruity-green opening is brief, giving way fairly quickly to the spiced cedar-jasmine heart and then a long, warm, suede-and-caramel dry-down that carries excellent longevity. Projection is confident without being overwhelming, and it works well for cooler-weather daytime wear or evening occasions where a leathery, ambery signature suits the setting. It's one of the older releases in the Bond No. 9 downtown collection, with a more traditional oriental-woody backbone compared to the fruitier, more modern Greenwich Village.
