Bleu de Chanel Eau de Parfum, created by Jacques Polge in 2014, builds on the original 2010 Eau de Toilette with more depth and intensity. It opens with grapefruit, lemon, mint, bergamot, pink pepper, aldehydes and coriander, moves through a heart of ginger, jasmine, nutmeg and melon, and finishes on a woody, incense-laced base of amber, cedar, sandalwood, amberwood, patchouli and labdanum.

On skin it's warmer and more resinous than the EDT, with the citrus-mint opening lasting a bit longer before giving way to a smoky, ambery cedar drydown that projects strongly and lasts well beyond eight hours. It suits both day and evening wear across seasons, striking a middle ground between the lighter, more citrus-forward EDT and the denser, drier woodiness of the Parfum concentration.
