Coco Mademoiselle Intense, created by Olivier Polge and launched in 2018, takes the original Coco Mademoiselle and pushes its patchouli and oriental accord further. It opens with Sicilian orange, Calabrian bergamot and lemon, develops a heart of rose, fruity notes and jasmine, and finishes on a base amplified with patchouli, Madagascar vanilla, tonka bean, white musk and labdanum — Chanel itself describes it as built around 'an extreme dose of patchouli' paired with vanilla and tonka bean.

On skin it's noticeably richer and warmer than the original EDP, with the citrus opening giving way faster to a dense, sweet patchouli-vanilla drydown that projects strongly and lasts well into the evening. It's suited to cooler weather and more formal or evening occasions where the original might read too light. Within the Coco Mademoiselle range, Intense is the boldest and most oriental, in contrast to the quieter, musk-focused L'Eau Privée.
